Meet our CEO

A Perfect Fit AK was founded in 2015 by Melissa Dobbs, CCC-SLP, BCBA. Melissa completed her undergraduate coursework in Elementary Education. She then continued her education to become a Speech Language Pathologist. She further advanced her education in ABA through Northern Arizona University. She has been in the field of ABA for 10 years. She is most interested in verbal behavior and speech/language development. With her leadership, A Perfect Fit AK has grown to offer in home and clinic based ABA services to 5 different areas of Alaska.

With it's continued growth, it has now expanded to 2 clinics in the Washington state as well as providing speech therapy and occupational therapy services. We take pride in our ability to collaborate across disciplines and strive to provide quality, family-centered, socially significant behavior change to the clients and families we serve.

Since the national COVID-19 pandemic, we have been able to increase our telehealth opportunities through outreach programs in California, Hawaii, and Oregon.

Our Leadership Team consists of dynamic Board Certified Behavior Analysts and Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts. Each of our team leaders comes from varying educational backgrounds and experience. We make every attempt to match your child's needs with the BCBA/BCaBA that would be the most beneficial to add to your child's therapy team. We fully support collaboration across disciplines and providers and work together to make sure your child is receiving quality services from A Perfect Fit AK.

Julie Johnson, OTR/L, BCBA

Julie has been working with children with autism and in the field of ABA since February 2008. She graduated from Texas Woman's University with a Bachelors in Family Studies and a Masters in Occupational Therapy. She then completed her post-graduate ABA education through the Florida Institute of Technology and became a BCBA in 2015. She has been with A Perfect Fit since December 2017. She sees clients for both ABA and OT.
Melodie Radcliffe, BCBA

Melodie is a graduate from the University of Oregon and the University of Alaska Anchorage, with a B.A. in Elementary Education, M.Ed. in Special Education and M.Ed. in Counseling and Guidance. Her coursework requirements for her BCBA were completed at the Florida Institute of Technology. She has been a BCBA since May of 2015. Melodie has spent 30 years as a special education teacher for the Anchorage school district and is a Nationally Board Certified Teacher since 2004.

Kelly has been with A Perfect Fit AK since January 2019. She completed her ABA education at the University of North Texas and has been working in the field of ABA for 10 years. She is most interested in severe maladaptive behavior reduction and emerging language.

Ali Pike, BCBA

Ali has been with A Perfect Fit AK since the beginning. She was the first RBT hired on with us and has been practicing as a BCBA for the last year. She has been working in the field of ABA for 5+ years. She completed her undergraduate in Elementary Education and her Masters in Special Education. She is interested in early childhood intervention and teaching functional communication skills to early learners.
Kristin Zaiger, BCBA

Kristin Zaiger was born and raised in Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor's degree in psychology and minors in counseling and Spanish. After she graduated in 2016, she moved to Washington state and began working in the field of ABA. She further her education and graduated from Ball State University with a Master's degree in ABA in May 2020 and passed the BCBA exam in September 2020. She is passionate about helping children succeed and using ABA principles to aid them in that process.

Sarah began working at A Perfect Fit in 2020. She completed her BCBA in 2020 and has been working in the field of ABA since 2013. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelors in Applied Behavior Analysis. She furthered her education at Western Connecticut State University where she graduated with her Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis in 2018.

Marie has been with A Perfect Fit since January 2020. She completed her undergraduate education in Philosophy and International Studies. She further pursued her ABA education and is working on her Masters in ABA through the Florida Institute of Technology. She has been working in the field of ABA for 5 years. She is most interested in functional communication training and verbal behavior.

Wendy has been working as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst with A Perfect Fit AK for 2 years. She has her Bachelors in Psychology and completed her ABA education at University of West Florida. She completed her Masters in Exceptional Student Education with an emphasis in ABA through UWF. She has been working in the field of ABA for 8 years. Her favorite part of the job is seeing the positive change and empowerment for families.

Jaime has been working with A Perfect Fit AK for 2 years. She completed her undergraduate education at Menlo College with a major in Psychology. She then furthered her ABA education and the University of North Texas. She has been working in the field of ABA for 12 years. Within the field of ABA she is most interested in gamification, staff training, and the use of ABA to treat mental illness. She enjoys working on social skills with teens and adults, functional communication, and severely maladaptive behavior.
Valerie Malatesta, BCaBA

Valerie has been with A Perfect Fit as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst since October 2019. She completed her Masters in Developmental Disabilities with a concentration in ABA from NOVA Southeastern University. She has been in the field of ABA since 2014. She is currently completing her fieldwork hours to obtain her BCBA. She is most interested in social skills groups, functional communication skills with early intervention, and verbal behavior. Her favorite part of the job is watching the kids progress.
